I usually rate how difficult the build is going to be on the Lego Hero Factory figures based on the number of parts included. Well Furno 3.0 doesn't have many parts, and is very easy to put together. In fact since I had Furno and Furno 3.0, I put both together in less than 20-minutes, and most of that was separating the parts. Good fun for a short period of time. If you really want a challenge buy Witch Doctor.
My four year old built Furno and my eight year old built Stringer and Waspix. Both of my sons are experienced Bioinicle and Hero Factory builders and neither had any problems building the sets, though the four year old had a few issues with the instructions.
In terms of design and aesthetics, Furno is definitely a great set, and to me, that makes up for his lack of new pieces (or new recolours). The eagle helmet works great with his wings, and the bow looks also really nice, and except for his hollow back there is nothing that is really bugging me about him, but hey, all of the canister sets are suffering from this, so it's not Furno's fault.
BirdBill possesses the same range of movement we have become accustomed to, and he can be put into some righteous poses. He has no launcher or projectile, and I love that. I'm curious as to how long TLG will go before they cave and add those into the canister sets like they did with BIONICLE. I can only hope it's forever. You know, I like him a lot. I don't know if you can tell. I have Bill-love.
