Raw-Jaw is a very nice set, and would make an excellent first 3.0 set to aquire. His stature and build does a great job at being powerful and gorilla-like, and the only thing that could detract from that is his size. However, many quadruped predators in real life such as lions, wolves, dwarf elephants or velociraptors are shorter than humans and that doesn't make them any less intimidating in a one-on-one encounter.

I bought my 5 year old son's first Lego Hero Factory for him with reservations because I thought I would have to be the one to put it together for him and I didn't want a bunch of little parts laying around when he lost interest. When I saw how easy it was for him to put together we've continued to add to his collection and I've bought them to have on hand for rewards, birthday presents, for friends, etc. He now makes them himself and has had fun altering them with each other's parts. They are very rewarding educational toys.

I don't think he's as fun as Waspix, even though he's pretty fun. I think he's a great parts pack, and he's a great gorillephant. He really is. I'd get some of the Hero sets first, and Waspix, but I'd defs fo sho get Raw-Jaw over Fangz and Scorpio. Those guys, I mean, are they trying to be the lamest of the lame this wave? I mean, if so, way to succeed! Get Raw-Jaw. He's a gorillephant. Seriously.
