Recommendation: yes 92 / 100 by Tom

I am a big fan of the Sunshine Surfer Van. It has a great design, great brick value, and great build-time value. The Minifigures are a little generic, but it is always good to get regular citizens to fill my city. While I did not build them, there are also two other models that you can put together using this kit, a convertible and a lifeguard station. There isn't anything that I don't like about this set, and I highly recommend it.

This is the kind of Creator set I like because it meshes well with the City sets. Re the main build, everything is the back is useful and all the things on the roof (chairs, BBQ) make the sets very playable. Of the vehicle sets I've bought in the last three months, this is the one my son likes to play with the most. We named the minifigs Stefan and Helga. I'll never have an old VW Kombi in real life but at least i have this.

The roof makes great storage for their chairs, table, umbrella, surfboard and grill. Inside you'll find a kitchen, tv, plant, and fold-down bed. Expand your beach adventures by re-assembling your lego pieces into a lifeguard tower, or very cool beach buggy.
