This set has collectible written all over it. Combine it with another copy, or sets mentioned above that have other track sections, and it's a brilliant inclusion. You can purchase three copies of this set for the price of one 10261, and still end up with a massive coaster. If you have a fairground setup at home, this set is a must, even if you already have the big one – 10261 Roller Coaster.
The Pirate Roller Coaster is a solid buy, even if you are getting it at full price. The set is an excellent value, loads of fun, and comes loaded with Minifigure accessories. The number of Minifigures is a little low, and I wish the whole launch of the shark car was mechanized, but those are not major drawbacks in my opinion. I like this one, and I do recommend it.
Legos are fabulous. Their building sets keep getting better and better. With this one you've hit the trifecta. !. it's Pirate themed. 2. It's Amusement Park themed. 3. The set itself has several versions (pirate, skull, and ship). Although the set is designed for 9 to 14 year olds, adults will have as much fun as the kids. You can always count on LEGO sets to hold up. One set equals YEARS of fun. LEGOS are a great family activity. With these movable sets you get to construct your set and then actually see the activity. The instructions are straight forward and easily understandable. This is great fun.
This set is truly a masterpiece. I have never had so much fun building a set from the CREATOR 3-in-1 series! I wish I could afford the Creator Expert Roller Coaster, which I bought this set to hold me over in the meantime. I didn't have relatively high expectations for the design of this set as it seemed overpriced for its small size. But when the box came, it was HEAVY! (It's actually priced pretty well). The manual was thick, almost like one from the Expert series. Instead of three separate manuals for the three different designs, it was all packed into one booklet, which was nice. As I began building the main build, it really started to reveal the genius of the design. From the ticket window and turn style to the Spanish fort style of the coaster bay, this thing is so much fun, and just a real joy to see come together. Then the pirate/sea-themed track is revealed, and it's amazing. Shout out to the design of the wrecked pirate ship, skull pass-through, and the octopus that adorn the coaster track; just pure genius! Finally, the actual train of the coaster is a real hidden gem, that I didn't pay enough attention to from the online pictures. All three train carts come together as a shark! Honestly, this set is just incredible. Fun, cute, and I'll say it one more time, GENIUS. I recommend getting more than one of this set, and I can't wait to build the other two designs!
Designed for ages 9-14, kids will love assembling this pirate themed roller coaster with it's sunken ship, octopus portal and other great details. Young LEGO fans will really like the 3 in 1 feature, allowing them to transform this coaster into two other amusement park attractions.
