I can't help but compare this set to the Brick Calendar. The Brick Calendar, in my opinion, is the better set but I'm sure my daughter will say the pencil holder is better. She wouldn't stop asking me if she could take it to school. So, although the color selection may not be as good the Brick Calendar, the novelty factor is off the charts.

My 5 year old granddaughter is the Lego queen and does 400+ piece sets made for 6-12 year olds by herself..this one was a piece of cake for her but she LOVED it. It is atop her desk holding her art pencils! Neat gift for a child who loves Lego!
