I bought this for my 8 year old daughter. It is a wonderful gift or just for fun. This Jet is amazing to build as well as a collector's piece. Would recommend to anyone collecting the Heartlake city set items.
Bought for my 6 year old son. He loves planes and was a little appalled by the gender apartheid on the box, but as the flowers and hearts are only stickers, he left these out. As with the other reviewers, found the plane to be easily customised (changing the wings to a Concorde design). He loves it and has played with it for at least a little while every day since I got it at the start of the summer holidays. A great toy!
This LEGO Friends set lets kids recreate and play out a familiar airport scene, and then, what is likely a less familiar, private jet experience. This is for LEGO Friends fans, ages 6–12. We think kids around 6 and 7 will need some help with the build, but will love playing out the air-travel scenarios.
Of course the ultimate test for the quality of any set is the reaction of its intended audience. Suffice it to say half of the population of Heartlake has been given a tour on the newly acquired plane and there is still a steady stream of passengers coming in every day. The set is an absolute success and a great addition to the diversity of Heartlake City.
I can't help but feel a little underwhelmed by this set. I think I used the word “straightforward" several times, and that's how the whole set feels – straightforward. What you see is what you get, and it's pretty good. It's a nice looking plane. It would have been nice if there's have been a doorway to get into the plane, or a way to access the lav/storage area in the back.
