Great lego set! My daughter complained it didn't include "mermaid ariel" only, ariel with legs. Otherwise perfect!

Overall a nice, quick build. Looks good in my Disney LEGO display. Don't think it's worth the price for what you ultimately get. However as a display piece it was worth getting to add to my Little Mermaid LEGO sets. Would recommend to children for playability. Great to see more interactivity between Disney Princess themed sets.

Disney Princess fans will have fun building out Ariel's happy ending scene with this LEGO set. The modular design of the boat allows for customization, and kids will like easily redesigning the boat to suit their creative storytelling needs.

This set feels like a lost opportunity. The LEGO Group has logged some amazing vessels through the years in Pirates, NINJAGO and even Friends. The lessons learned and techniques perfected in those other themes did not get a chance to translate to this set, seemingly due to the requirement for the modular sections to be certain a size so they can be connected to the other sets. That requirement undermined the ability of 41153 Ariel's Royal Celebration Boat to focus on being a satisfying ship, making it the most poorly executed set in the Disney theme this year.
