I picked this set because of the appeal such as the sticker designs, the open top roof, the art class, the art shop etc. This set does not disappoint... It's a very funky art studio. I love the decor, particularly the bricks in the wall that look like real house bricks and the window design. This set was easy to build except the pottery maker which turns; it took me 3 times to get the cogs on the right way. I really like the interactive part of the set... If you put water on the sheet of art paper, chico's Cat paws appear. Very cute. Overall a really nice new addition to the 2019 sets however I think the set is a little overpriced (by around £5).
We bought this for my daughter for her birthday- she loves it. She really likes that the “canvas" changes when you add water.
I would say this would make an excellent first Friends set for anyone. It doesn't take a huge amount of time to build, and would fit very well into any City layout -- especially a downtown setting. Maybe next to a Diner with teal and pink Art Deco decor? Although the overall footprint is not that large, it seems bigger with all the details. The overall style could easily be built on a grander scale.
Overall the finished set looks great (the huge stickers on each wall help) and because the two main buildings are modular they can either be placed on top of one another or side by side offering up so many play and display options. It all makes for a set that is great value, considering the relatively low price point.
The footprint is quite small for the set but there are a lot of great details included in this small space. I enjoy this type of set as it really shows off one of the Friends' interests (in this case, Emma and art), and I like that there are two minidolls included. I also absolutely love Andrea's outfit! I find it surprising she has such a terrific outfit in this set as opposed to a set that's dedicated to her, but I'll take it nonetheless.
