As usual, an enjoyable Lego Friends set. The details of the beauty salon are impressive, given it's small scale. The hair-dryer stand is cool. The nail-polish table is just darling. Love that. Part of what makes Lego sets worth the price and rise above other block-toy brands are its accessories, including the many extra accessories this came with (pic 01). Mostly the tiny pieces (i.e., blows, clips, hair dryer). This particular Lego set needed a stronger push to make things stand on the board like the figures and hair-accessory stand. Maybe with more use it they will be easier to push down. My kids noticed the upgraded manual. Really fun how they added a completion-timeline indicator at the bottom of the page of each building step (see pic 02). Love how clear and helpful the instructions are. For each small structure built, the page rewards the builder with extra celebration emojis for those small successes.Recommended.
I really liked this set, and thought it was fun to put together. I loved all of the little accessories such as the magazines and hair brushes. It was a nice addition to my small but growing lego friends collection. Even though I liked it, I thought it was really easy. It would be great for someone who has never put a lego set together before.
It's quite a delightful little build (made more so by the new style of instructions), and made for an entertaining afternoon of build and play with my daughter. There's plenty to play with for a small child's imagination, with the additional wigs and extra accessories provided. It's also nice to see a mini-doll included that isn't one of the usual five Friends; somebody new is certainly appreciated.
This is a typical Friends shop with back access only -- no roof removal; so for AFOLs, re-arranging after it's built takes patience. I wish the curvy window area was easy to get to -- yet the square column is nice interior architecture. There isn't room for the hair-care rack or wig & accessories counter inside. I could probably add more tan base for that.
