This is a great box set and my 4 year old (going on 5) really enjoyed building the sets. All she needed was a bit of clarity on how to fit some parts otherwise she built them all herself. There are 3 ‘themes' in the box and each theme can be built 2 ways. In order to build the other version of a theme requires the parts to be deconstructed almost completely but that adds to the product life and fun! I particularly like the detail in the music theme and my daughter enjoyed building the individual instruments for it.
I can't wait to use these pieces in more creations. Also, I'll most likely use this beautiful Lavender tub to store all my Lavender and other purple bricks.
These “brick boxes" are often more about the storage container and building up a supply of bricks than the actual models that the designers have come up with, and this one is nothing particularly out of the ordinary. Although each of the primary builds was fun to put together, and I actually quite like the music shop, there is little play value in each. My daughter, not too far from the target age, played with them for a while, but they did not capture her interest as much as some previous sets have in the past.
