I would certainly recommend this set. I must warn you though, to prepare large enough storage place, because this "giant" will not fit in many shelfs.
This was requested for Christmas and built immediately. It is complicated enough to be educational, and has a lot of moving parts. My kid built the cargo plane first. It is really cool that the cargo doors, cockpit, propellers, and wheels are all controllable. It takes 6 AA batteries, I believe. I liked that it was cheaper due to not being Star Wars, but can easily fit into the imaginary battle. I never see motorized function in Star Wars stuff. This was a good value.
I enjoyed this model quite a bit and would certainly recommend it. As a play set it is lots of fun, and it is quite a good parts pack as well. The price is not bad for something of this size, and the alternate model is pretty cool too.
