I bought this for my 4 year old grandson and he LOVES it. I had fun helping him but he took right over following the page by page very clear instructions and took amazing pride in completing the helicopter, ambulance and the Hospital. I personally was impressed with the garage door and how it operates, hinged "glass" panels and all. He also did an excellent job putting together the interior of the hospital with the check in area desk and waiting room. Tiny but easy enough pieces for a 4 year old to handle. The action figures which includes a patient that slipped on a banana (included) is hilarious.
Set has its drawbacks, but most of those could be easily modded and after all its still hospital, which is missing in many layouts (mine also).
Overall, I like the general look of the hospital quite a bit but I cannot get past the oversized helicpoter and undersized ambulance. For me, the set as a whole seems terribly out of proportion to other City sets. I also wish the hospital had a bit more on the inside, maybe an operating room or at least a better room for the patients.
