My grandkids and I assembled a great sturdy play mat by gluing lego plates and a road kit I found to a large piece of particleboard. We used a blue baseplate as a lake and the kids love "driving" the truck to the lake to put the boat in. It was easy for my seven-year-old to assemble and all the kids love playing with it. It was a great addition to the Legos I keep in their playroom at my house. Legos are the best toy out there, even though they are expensive but well-worth the cost!! One caution: there are a lot of tiny pieces so make sure it is assembled with adult supervision.

Overall the set looks nice enough, but is somewhat underwhelming in it's features. It really has to be combined with other coastguard sets for the best experience.

I think it works well, and is an improvement on the previous version 7737. However I can't help feeling that it could have done with someone to rescue. If this set is purchased in isolation, playability is very limited unless one of the Coast Guard men is drowning!
