The base camp is packed with interior and exterior features. On the outside, there is a working conveyer belt, radar, and solar panels. The roof and walls open to reveal the interior areas, which include a lab, garage, and lounge area for the explorers to relax after a long day of exploring. The vehicles also have fun features like the explorer's large working tracks and drill, and the helicopter's cockpit, working propellers, and winch. The set includes multiple accessories like ice blocks, tools, and a fishing rod.

My boys (6 & 3) have played with this set for hours and hours. My oldest saved his allowance to get this and his hard work paid off. This was the first "big set" he received and he couldn't be happier. I am amazed with the instructions for these sets. There were a lot of pieces but the instructions are very detailed and easy to follow. My 6 year old enjoyed putting together many of the bags himself. The conveyer belt is a very cool feature and my son loves the driller. The track on that vehicle is one of his favorite features. I think the dog sled is really cute. Lots of playability and they have since built up their artic snow area around it. Lots of creative fun. The orange is a great color scheme for this set as well.

All in all, I have nothing but high praise for the Arctic theme and the Arctic Base Camp serves as an essential piece that underpins the entire theme together. There's just something indescribably cool about LEGO using their products to inspire the next generation of children to care about science and research.
