Totally awesome lego set. I bought this for my daughter, ok for me too!. I grew up with legos as a kid in the 1970-1980's, but have touched any since. Boy they sure have come a long way. This set is awesome. the instructions are very simple to follow. The separate bags really helps to speed up the building process. All the doors work very well. The mini sub as well is designed quite good. I (I mean my daughter) can't stop playing with it.!
I purchased this helicopter along with some other city sets, I was oringally going to buy the Arctic Helicrane but when looked at its size through a display case, I shocked at how small it was, so I picked up the Deep sea helicopter instead. When building this i noticed how roomy it was inside the helicopter which is perfect for storing minifigs and cargo to transport, another thing I liked was that the roters don't come off very easily. I decided to test the strength off the crane with a rather large vehicle I made and it held on, the grapple piece didn't come off. So overall I think this is one off the best helicopters yet. :)
This lego set actually seems to stay together for play better than others we have. My 10 year old son put this together from start to finish in about an hour with no help needed. The directions are clear, and easy to follow. May be a little harder for the 7-8 year olds, but for 9 and up this was just challenging enough to be fun, but still be able to work independently.Fast shipping, and a great price too !
The set is for LEGO fans, ages 7–12. Kids within that range should be able to build the set on their own and will have a blast playing with it. Older LEGO fans might like this one also for a display or collection.
