I like this set. I like it even more with some selective MOC'ing which I reckon improves the general build that LEGO provides as a platform. Wee people will love it as did my little one when he clapped eyes on it.

A birthday present for a 4yo! He had seen it and asked for it (begged, pleaded and cried really) at the Lego store, this time it was MEAN OL' DADDY that said no. We negotiated, because his birthday was in 2 weeks, that if he put it back now, I would make sure he got it and more for his birthday. What a great boy! He remembered and picked it out of the wrapped presents to open first! He knew what it was before unwrapping it. Well it was a BIG hit and he absolutely loves it!

This is a superb set. The design of LEGO City cars seems to have improved quite dramatically this year and this is probably my favourite yet. The proportions seem to be about right and there are also plenty of details included which rarely appear outside of larger sets. Hopefully this trend will continue and designers will perfect cars in the same way that they have found ideal building techniques for creating trucks.
