I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed building this set (maybe it was the PLUG build night, company and beers that clouded my judgement). From the very start it feels like a very generous set with lots of animals, minifigures, vehicles and scenery (with play features). The torso printing on the minifigures is also sensational and some of the best I've seen to date. I also loved the sense of adventure that the set instills in the builder.
I'm a concept artist by trade, and sometimes i hit a dead end for inspiration. I saw this set and gave it a go in the 2 hours it took to build this I was inspired for 3 different projects I'm currently working on.
The Jungle Exploration Site is a worthwhile set. You get lots of Minifigures, animals, and accessories. The builds are nice, and have fun play features. The downside to the set is the value. It is expensive both in terms of the cost of each brick, as well as in terms of the build-time. Waiting for this set to be on sale for at least 20% off would bring the per brick value and the build-time score up to 80%, which would bring the overall score up to 89%. So, my final verdict is that I do recommend this set, but make sure you get it on sale.

The Jungle Exploration Site does a very good job providing a jungle site to explore. The minifigs are all ready to see the sights and get in a little bit of danger, and find danger they do! From the plants to the animals and then to the traps of the forest itself, these explorers are going to have plenty to see. The play features are clever, especially in the design of the temple. The vehicles also give plenty to do and provide impressive builds to round out the set. The price is a concern, but if found on sale this set has lots to provide at a more suitable price. Overall, it is a solid set which greatly adds to the jungle exploration theme.
At the end of the day, you really can't go terribly wrong with City subthemes, and this jungle line has even more promise than most. The Jungle Exploration Site has an interesting setting and fantastic minifigs and a plethora of vehicles. It's not challenging to build, but if you're a fan of bright light orange, there's plenty to be found here.
