The LEGO City is a great set of Legos. My two grandsons, ages eleven and ten, spent a couple hours a day putting the airplane together. Kept them busy for hours. The plane is almost two feet long and the set has airport watch tower and LEGO people. LEGO is a brand you can trust. I would recommend this City Passenger Airplane set to all kids over the age of six.
The only downside to the Passenger Airplane (60262) is the price. I expect more bricks and build time from a $140 set. However, you get an excellent number of Minifigures and the plane looks amazing. In fact, the airplane is so nice that I am willing to overlook the unimpressive side-builds. Despite the price, I still highly recommend this set.
I like both the Passenger Airplane and the Heartlake City Airplane. However, from an AFOL perspective, I would choose the Passenger Airplane if I had to pick only one. The main reason I want airplanes is to hang them over my city display. Passenger Airplane looks a little better and more realistically proportioned from the outside. Conversely, Heartlake City Airplane comes at a lower price and an overall better value. Either way, you get a fun airplane. I think AFOLs looking for a display piece will like the City version more though.
