I recently discovered this Duplo "Read & Build" series and am thrilled with the couple sets I've bought. The concept is just great - having the book to guide little ones on what/how to build a pre-set series of animals makes the concept of building blocks much less intimidating. My son (22mo) loves having the guide showing him how to build. After a couple times looking at the "blueprints" and building them together, he can now build them all on his own without the book.The only drawback for me is that the text of the book is pretty terrible. I don't read the full text to my son, instead we just look at the "blueprints" and focus on building the animals.I bought this set as well as the "Grow Caterpillar Grow" set, and both my son & I prefer this one. The animals are cuter!I recommend this set for any younger toddler as the perfect introduction to Duplos.
