After a few years of acquiring a lot of Lego sets for my son, I was heartened to see the advent of something in addition to the usual "Star Wars" and "City" offerings. While my son will tear into any Lego and build away with focused abandon, he was excited to see the new superhero product line featuring Batman. I got this for him for his seventh birthday and he couldn't have been more thrilled when he peeled off the Lego wrapping paper (which I got from the Lego site). He had it all assembled within an hour or two. It comes with a Batman, a Joker, a Batplane, and a helicopter piloted by one of the Joker's henchmen. As with everything Lego, it was a bit pricey, but it was exactly what he wanted . . . along with the Batcave and the other two Batman sets (Batgirl, Two-Face Chase).
I'm torn. I really wanted to like this set, and there are a few great things about it. It feels like an overpriced Joker set, and less of a Batman one. The Joker half is certainly the best part but if it can be gotten for a discount, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. At full price though, it's a harder sell.
