I love the battle suits from the Nexo Knight series. If you're a fan of the old school Bionacle but love the shape and feel of more traditional Lego products, this is almost a perfect blend of both. The whole Power Ranger feel that each suit gives to the minifigures of the Nexo Knights really impressed me and the subtle differences between all of them is absolutely charming. Its a little pricey for the contents of the box but overall I feel like each figure is worth the investment, especially if you've already purchased some of the more traditional sets from the Nexo Knights 2017 line as they have combination features included.
On closing this set is a great, simple and cost effective way to introduce kids to the world of Battle Mech Suits and of course NEXO KNIGHTS. Not only does it represent good value for money, but also introduces new and interesting pieces not seen before in colour and/or shape.
All in all, I think this set is not bad. The Battle Suit is not a bad-looking build and it is fun to play around with. The minifigure isn't very interesting but I think that's forgivable, and the price is fine.
Clay's Battle Suit is overall a great mech with a good color scheme, lots of posability, comes with a good selection of new and rare parts. The exclusive minifigure and five Nexo Power shields are icing on the cake. The Battle Suits fulfills the niche that has previously been occupied by the Nexo Knight Ultimate Character, Ninjago spinners, and Legends of Chima Speedorz sets. However, most of those sets were merely ways to get exclusive minifigures with a few superficial elements thrown in to justify the cost, and the builds have been mild to forgettable. But these Battle Mechs are solid designs in and of themselves, and I think these will be very popular. If this design persists for too long, it might get boring, but for now it's quite awesome. I would totally recommend picking at least one up, depending on your favorite color or character. At the very least, Clay's Battle Suit delivers.
