This is our first hidden side! It is so cool with the app! I love what they did with it! The app didn't work on my new cell phone 6 months ago, so it didn't seems as much fun as if I had the app, so I didn't buy any and now I regret now that i didn't recheck before! Check on your phone of it works :) As soon as my son saw the pick up on the box, he wanted it! :) So that was a 2 for 1! I was going to build it for him et he would drive it. On top of that, I would play on the app. So it was almost 3 for 1 because he his too young to play on the cell phone. It has many Technic parts, this is the set where I used them the most. It's really nice to see the final product. So LEGO, please keep this collection going on! We are geeting closer to the Halloween, keep on you talking about this collection. It's amazing!
Lego nerd and college student here. I did not get paid to write this review. I was a bit underwhelmed when I first saw pictures of this set, and the entire Hidden Side range in general. However, now that I've bought this set, I've completely changed my opinion. I think this set is very well done. The figures are interesting, and two of them include two heads (one to represent their normal forms and one to represent their “possessed forms." They come with unique parts including a gun and some creepy wings in light green. The vehicles are sturdy and fun to play with. I really like the big tires on the truck. The gun is also a very cool feature. Overall, this is a fantastic set and I cannot recommend it enough.
70421 El Fuego's Stunt Truck was reviewed in issue 61 of Blocks Magazine.
This a tricky set to review. On one hand it offers up great play value as both the ghosts and ghost hunters are well represented. On the other, the two builds are slightly disappointing when compared to other sets in the theme. El Fuego's Stunt Truck is a decent enough model but it's not enough to elevate the set. There are far more appealing Hidden Side releases in terms of play value, display and fun, so this is perhaps one to avoid, at least at full price.
With all the other sets in this first wave of the theme, this is one set I've paid the least attention to, but it's actually a cool little set. The build is fun and the end result of both vehicles is great. I would have like to had a little more play functions in the set, the expanding suspension is fun but doesn't really do much, but it is a well done function.
70421 El Fuego's Stunt Truck is probably my least favourite of the six Hidden Side sets which I have assembled. The absence of transformation functions is rather disappointing and I think these models seem bland when compared with others from across the theme. The motorcycle is particularly lacking in detail, relying almost exclusively upon stickers.
