We like how this allows kids to keep one hand in both the physical and digital worlds. LEGO building is still part of the play experience, but the app enhances and extends the play.
This was my second Hidden Side set, but the first one that I actually paid for. In the end, I am quite pleased with the purchase. The set was a great value, even at full price. While I will modify the build a little to suit my needs more, I think that kids will enjoy playing with it as is. Additionally, you get a nice selection of Minifigures, and the added bonus of an augmented reality game. The Paranormal Intercept Bus 3000 is a worthwhile purchase, and I recommend it.
Customer Video Review Length:: 1:52 Mins We are in love with this set. I gave it 4 out 5 stars because our bus is missing a window. I don't it's worth the hassle of returning and exchanging.I love how Lego brought to life the toy. I like building the sets my kids love playing with them.I have a Samsung Galaxy 7, where I downloaded the app without issues. You can also play with the app without the toys. I just love how interactive it is.
Overall, it's a fun set and one that can be quite versatile. The minifigures are of a high standard and it will be eye catching on display.

70423 Paranormal Intercept Bus 3000 offers an excellent main build, coupled with some neat accessories and side builds, alongside some really high quality minifigures. The bus isn't completely without fault, there are a few places that feel a little gappy, however these drawbacks are not enough to detract from what is ultimately a really fun set to play with. Like most of the sets in this theme, it feels pretty good value for money too.
This is probably one of the most anticipated of the Hidden Side sets and after building it, I love it even more. The various nods to other LEGO themes is great fun and something I adore seeing in LEGO sets. The build is engaging and not overly repetitive despite the similar sections it features.
Hidden Side focuses upon two teenage heroes so constructing their paranormal investigation vehicle around a traditional school bus seems perfectly suitable and 70423 Paranormal Intercept Bus 3000 is outstanding. This model looks fantastic on display and incorporates numerous enjoyable functions for play which are further augmented when combined with the innovative Hidden Side app.
After building the Paranormal Intercept Bus 3000, I am confident in saying that it is one of the most creatively interesting sets of the Hidden Side line. The unusual choice of subject matter helps it to stand out from previous LEGO sets, though at the same time it could easily be modified to fit into a post-apocalyptic or City layout.
I have mixed feelings on the final set and remain firmly on the fence when recommending it. I enjoyed the build, even if it was basic. But theres something about the final model that I just don't like. It does look messy, something I didn't mind in the pictures but annoys me holding the model. Playability is high, even when ignoring the app, it is a fun set. And the Minigures all look great, including Spencer, that awesome ghost dog.
