Recommendation: meh 86 / 100 by Dunjohn

It's the most expensive alien set in Alien Conquest and, even if you know there's a lot of empty air inside the ring, its size certainly matches the price tag. Some people don't like the sound, others love it; I think it's great. Really old-fashioned and kooky, and just as improbable as everything in AC is supposed to be. The spinning mechanic is smooth, the ring is sturdy despite looking frail and the claw works well. The only real dowsides are the spartan cockpit design that feels unfinished (that's common to almost every AC set, but it's particularly bad in this case), and the very low minifigure count for a set this size.

Recommendation: no 4.1 / 5 from 40 reviews

My 7 year old grandson had his tonsils out and was very bored after the first day. School was out, and his old and new toys didn't hold much interest. I found this lego and thought it would be perfect because it's intricate, thought provoking and challanging. He and his parents loved the lego set for different reasons. He needed some help in the construction but that was minimal. I believe the Lego Mother Ship is an exciting and engrossing toy to give a child who is recovering from surgery and of course for other times as well.

This set has a reporter with a very cool red jacket. The awesome Alien Commander minifigure has great detailing, but nothing can beat those epic epaulets. The build has a great round shape, which can be difficult to accomplish in lego.
