This set lets kids come up with whatever Ninjago-inspired adventures they can imagine. The figures represent two foes so kid can stage battles and chases between them.
It's lego, so you can hardly go wrong here. My son, 9, absolutely loves this. My youngest, 3, is in love with the motorcycle, and it's sturdy enough that the pieces don't constantly fall off when he is playing with it. The boys have been playing with this almost nonstop since they got it at Christmas.I've also been impressed with the ninjago series from Lego. The imagination is very much alive and is also encouraging my boys to not just build the set, but to turn their lego into impressive ships and other futuristic technology. Lego is always fun, and our collection continues to grow.My only big piece of advice is to ALWAYS check on Amazon. I've found their Lego prices to be $10-30 cheaper than what you can find in the stores, including Wal-Mart. The was true for this. I do tend to hold out for good prices even on Amazon though as their prices continually change to match their competitors.
This set is a fun one to build and also provides a good play experience afterwards. The fact that there are three Nindroid vehicles means plenty of ‘bad guys' to help mix things up and make the odds a bit more even for play, something I've often felt to be missing in other large sets. For the more (what shall we say?) reserved fan (no swooshing desired), the set is an eye-catcher. Either as a standalone build, or as part of an extensive Ninjago collection, this set will look great on display, and provide visitors with a nice ‘Wow!' when you demonstrate the ejection function! Overall, it's a great set at a good price point that won't disappoint!
I really had to reach for some of those cons, because this is a really cool set. For $40 you get 425 pieces including a bunch of uncommon slopes in red and other interesting parts. What's more though, is you get a cool race car with a lot of action features and some bad guys to take on too. While I haven't built too many Ninjago sets, this one is certainly among my favorites.
