I was not expecting LEGO to release this MetalBeard, but I'm glad they did. It was a fun build and the best MetalBeard of The LEGO Movie 2 sets. Having the piano printed instead of a sticker is also nice. As for the other figures, I was hoping for a series 2 collectible minifigure release for Disco Benny alone, so it's nice to get him. The difference between this Disco Kitty and the previous release is the scarf and extra face. Overall, it's a nice set for minifigures and a fun, quick build.
My granddaughter loves Legos. She has 2 series of the Elves sets, some Friends, superheroes, Frozen. I don't want more giant sets, but these little sets are great fillers. The pirate is so cute & I bought this one specifically because it has a cat AND the cat is a unicorn!
Countless fantastical characters populate The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part and 70848 Systar Party Crew excels in that regard, featuring exclusive versions of three notable heroes. Each variant differs dramatically from the standard designs, reflecting the garish Systar System environment, but these characters still capture the essential features of Benny, Unikitty and MetalBeard.
The Systar System is crazy place, which is nicely captured in this fun little set. I love the new colourful new version of MetalBeard, especially how the musical elements have been incorporated into his body. Disco Kitty is a fun versions but certainly not the best part of the set. That honour is bestowed upon delightful Stardust Benny.
