71019 The LEGO NINJAGO Movie Collectible Miniifigures was reviewed in issue 36 of Blocks Magazine.
I bought this product I got the teddy bear girl but she was missing her Teddy bear.
I'm sorry to write this, but it appears there are no returns or replacements. This product is missing pieces and my Sons Birthday is on Tuesday, so I'm not thrilled. I buy a lot of these and haven't ever had a problem, but now I have an incomplete gift.
The parts assortment are above average. There is an extra headpiece, where Kai can put on the kendo helmet. The black samurai armour is my favourite part and I hope this can be made easily available.
While his Kendo mask and new facial expression are great, the rest of the figure is a little bland, especially the unprinted armour.
Much like the world of Ninjago itself, these characters, who range from a sushi chef to a teen pop fan, abide in a stereotyping mashup of all things Asian.
This is another great series of LEGO Minifigures and although it's a licensed series, it's more like the stand series especially when you compare it to The LEGO Batman Movie series from earlier in the year. The new parts are great and there are a few useful pieces MOC builders will enjoy.
The shiny insignia on the back looks great and I like the subtle lettering on the front which reads 'FIRE' in reference to Kai's element. A diamond pattern continues the red detail onto the legs but the figure lacks armour printing which is a bit disappointing.
