Incredible add on pack which really enriches the mario starter pack. Much like the the starter pack it offers interactive sections which are so much fun. The designs look great it was a little trickier to build than the starter pack but not much. My boy has had hours of fun with this really fantastic
71369 Bowser's Castle Boss Battle Expansion Set retails for £89.99 or $99.99. The gameplay is not enough to justify that price. While it's a great effort to use functions to make something happen during the boss battle, it isn't a thrilling or challenging finale. It is probably the best display set in the theme though, although it is hard not to imagine the kind of castle Bowser could have had if this has been at minifigure scale.
Finally I found it. The set that makes this concept worth while. This set actually solves almost all of my complaints about this theme so far.
You may not be a fan of the route LEGO has taken with their first product partnership, but they have poured a lot of effort into making the sets as close to a Mario game as they could be. This set is a great example of that.
This set is truly worth the title of Boss Battle – it is the most taxing expansion set to play through in the time available, even allowing for the powers included in the set. The build is remarkably robust: and given the amount of stalling and swivelling it is going to receive, it needs to be. I was initially uninterested in this set, but after playing it a few times, it is one of my favourites. There are limited chances for Mario to be harmed in this level, but time is the real enemy. If it were easy, it wouldn't be a proper Boss Battle!
