The power up pack doesn't have the ID tag brick so I wasn't sure how Mario himself was going to register he had a special suit on. Turns out it is through the pins on the Mario figure and where they slot in to the suit tells the figure which suit he has on. Nice addition to a course but mean you will run out of time as you can't get Mario out of his standard suit in to the special suit and complete even the shortest course in 1 minute. Build instructions are on the app rather than in the box. Number Of Pieces: 11 Approximate Price Per Piece: £0.82 Build Time: Under 5 minutes
Fans will love seeing their favorite elements and characters from the video game brought to life in such an interactive way. This is more than just building out scenes from the game. The built-in technology really allows fans to play out what they've seen on screen, and it'll be really cool to see how LEGO Mario reacts and responds with each move.

It is really fun to dress Mario up and have him walk up walls, but it's probably the cute look and cat sounds that are the biggest draw this Power-up Pack has. Whether it is worth the £8.99 will probably depend on how much game time a user is getting from the sets – those spending a lot of time playing can probably justify an extra outfit or two.
