Not an iconic set by any means, but the Minifigures are well worth purchasing at the very least.
The scene is quite nice. The entrance to the cave is really good. You could move different parts with the force. But, Obi-Wan and Anakin are missing, but we get Poggle. Of course the lair could have been bigger.
I think this set is quite good. The minifigure selection is not bad, the builds are good enough, and the price is perfectly fine. Some of the play features are a bit wonky but I think it's still a fun dueling playset.
That's actually kind of the story of this set… great parts that are better before you put it together. 390 parts for $40 isn't a bad deal in the current LEGO ecosystem, and there are some very quality parts in there. Sure, there are the usual padders of cheese slopes and technic pins, but also slopes, grill bricks, and force lightning (which you hide in those boxes inside the hill for some reason). The minifigs are likewise a contrast. Dooku is amazing, Poggle is good, Yoda horrible, and the droid is leftovers. Part of me really wishes that they would have dropped Poggle and the droid and included Anakin and Obi-Wan instead, since that would, you know, make sense.
This is a well rounded set that has good parts, minifigs, play features, and an acceptable price per part ratio. It probably won't look good sitting on a shelf and is more meant to be played with or parted into your collection.
