This set seems more geared toward display, which is does very well. The exterior is pretty detailed. Flip open the panels and the entire inside is available. I pretty much use it to store about 20 minifigs from the 13 other sets I have. (I actually just starting building the Star Wars models after starting with Technic. I am completely addicted to these, doing 13 sets in the last 6 weeks.) This was the first Star Wars set I built, so it's a little fuzzy, maybe I can edit this and do a better review later . It's defiantly a nice way to start up a collection, or add to what you have.
Bought for my husband... many many hours of joy for my big man-child of a husband.

I quite like this set. I think that, apart from the stud shooter turbolasers, it has definitely improved from 75055. Both the exterior and the interior look pretty good.
The finished set looks good overall, fairly accurate in its representation of the on-screen Star Destroyers. The level of detail incorporated in the on-screen version, with lots of small sections leading up to the command bridge, is lost here. But it is on par with LEGO System Star Destroyers of past, in terms of getting an accurate shape in a scaled down way. Fans looking for the incredible accuracy found on 10221 Super Star Destroyer should adjust their expectations.
6211 Imperial Star Destroyer was one of my favourite sets as a child and I was even more impressed with 75055 Imperial Star Destroyer in 2014, not only because it was sturdier than its predecessor but also due to the more extensive interior. 75190 First Order Star Destroyer improves upon both, looking just as good from the outside but featuring many more detailed rooms within! I particularly appreciate that the designer has considered how figures can travel from one space to the next, including a doorway, a staircase and even a lift.
