Although not the prettiest set in the LEGO Star Wars collection, builders will enjoy the assembly, and die-hard fans of the Force will love the retro Sandcrawler.
I'm torn because I both think this set is worth £109 but then I think you should wait for a sale... I got this for this past Christmas, as a a present from my parents, I'm 20 but I still get Lego, I've always loved Lego, but in recent years, it's been more love/hate.... I wanted the UCS Sandcrawler but never brought it, If I'm honest I did judge this set for the size, price, mini figures and dicided I'd never buy it, so after I built it I was left in shock, it's fairly small but such a nice, easy build, the colours work, and it looks so good. I still think the mini figure are a bit off, the jawas work and the droids mostly work (one more would of been nice) but Luke by himself just doesn't do it for me. This set goes well with 75198 the tatooine battle pack and 75173 Lukes landspeeder (2018) At the end of the day this set is worth it (mostly)
I think this set is alright. The build is quite good despite its small size, and the playability is fine despite the relatively small interior (which has been used to the fullest). However, I think the minifigure selection could have been better and the set is definitely pretty darn expensive – the build is pretty small in comparison to the price you pay.
Don't be put off by 75220 Sandcrawler's diminutive size in the face of its predecessor. It does more than enough to warrant its place on shelves, and indeed in your collection, simply by virtue of its more accessible nature – and, of course, some excellent minifigures. And if you never got chance to pick up 75059, this should shoot straight to the top of your list. You know, if you like big, brown boxes.
75059 Sandcrawler was released in 2014 and remains the definitive version of this popular vehicle, as one might expect given its large size. Nevertheless, I am very impressed with 75220 Sandcrawler. Not only does the model look superb when compared with the source material but its interior represents a significant improvement over the Ultimate Collector Series set, providing plenty of room for figures.
