Huge hit with my 6 and 8 year olds. They love these “big Legos". Kids need to remember that they aren't meant to play with like action figures after though.
The Special Forces TIE pilots only feature briefly in The Force Awakens so are a bit of an obscure choice for a build-able figure but it is excellent with great pose-ability. The build is easy, probably one of the easiest out of the new range. It stands just above a First Order Stormtrooper figure. The level of detail and movie accuracy is amazing! The red-stripes on the helmet denote the Special Forces ranking, the First Order insignias are on each shoulder and the life support pack is nearly exactly the same as the on screen version. There are some proportion issues. The helmet is a little bit too big and the life support pack looks bulky. Also why is a blaster rifle included when First Order TIE pilots carry pistols? Apart from these minor issues the figure is perfect. This is definitely a brilliant figure to add to any First Order collection as it's just so movie accurate and great to play with or display.
Fans can use this Elite TIE fighter pilot action figure to recreate scenes from The Last Jedi or any of the Star Wars films. The figure is also highly poseable thanks to ball joint pieces for articulation that makes it equally fun to display in different stances.
I think this figure is alright. He looks quite okay on the whole. However, the helmet is not very detailed for a CCBS figure – other sets like the First Order Stormtrooper or the Shoretrooper have far more detailed helmets.

75526 Elite TIE Fighter Pilot is definitely a good set but is probably my least favourite of the four new Buildable Figures. While these troopers are fairly ubiquitous in the Sequel Trilogy they are rarely seen outside their TIE Fighters, as one might expect, so displaying the figure alone is a challenge. In addition, the blaster rifle seems oversized and the UK price of £19.99 is disappointing as both 75528 Rey and 75529 Elite Praetorian Guard are more interesting figures which are available at the same price.
TIE-Pie doesn't have a lot going for him. He's a standard build that's worsened by that darned vest. He doesn't do anything except stand there, and even that isn't super great because he's not as iconic as, say, a Stormtrooper. It's not an awful set, but it doesn't do much to rise up against "oh look, it's another CCBS trooper." If you really, really like TIE Fighter Pilots, then I guess TIE-Pie's up your alley; it's hard for me to recommend the set elsewise.
