This Rey figure is a vast improvement compared to The Force Awakens version, with great pose-ability and a fun play feature. The build isn't complicated, although a bit fiddly at some points. The finished figure is an accurate height compared to Chewbacca or Finn. The play feature that allows you to swing Rey's arm actually works really well but it does mean that the figure looks messy on the back. The blaster is a significant improvement with a far better shape and colour scheme whilst the lightsaber hasn't changed. The likeness is quite good and Rey's new haircut has been moulded well. Her new costume has detailed printing and the use of cloth adds to the movie accuracy. However I think too much black has been used when the costume has far more grey in official images. Also the skin tone that is printed onto the torso and arm pieces doesn't match the skin tone of the head. Overall, I think this is a good build-able figure that would be great to play with or displayed. It's perfect for any Rey fan or The Last Jedi collection.
Bought this for my girlfriends son and he loved it. He's on a kick of collecting figures. I think he's building his own star wars world.
What makes this figure more fun for fans of construction play is the building aspect. It's an easy build for kids that yields plenty of opportunities for post-build play. Fans can use this Rey jedi-in-training action figure to recreate scenes from The Last Jedi. The figure is also highly poseable thanks to ball joint pieces for articulation that makes it equally fun to display in different stances.
I think this is a reasonable figure. She looks alright, but there is definitely room for improvement in her upper arms, feet, and head mold. The price is a little high, though, I think it could've been slightly lower.
75529 Elite Praetorian Guard remains my favourite of the four new figures but I would recommend adding 75528 Rey to your collection, particularly when it is discounted. The articulation is extensive so it offers a great deal of play value and the figure looks marvellous on display when clashing with 75117 Kylo Ren.
Getting another Rey action figure is a smart move from LEGO and sure to be beloved by fans of all ages. The look has changed enough between sets that this is a fresh take on the character's image. A few piece choices, like brown legs and flat fabric, seem a little odd when compared to the movie pictures. Still, the overall look of the action figure, from a non-covered head, new outfit, and lightsaber play feature, make up for that.
