This lego set is very epic as you get 1 trex and mecha trex whats better than that! The mecha trex desgin is almost the same when they put it on a tv show and is very smooth and you can use parts of the body to attach to your dinos like the head of a trex stuck onto the mecha trex. The volcano is very clever no issues with that. The only issue with its toes they keep on falling off but can be fixed with a little bit of bluetac. This is a good set and you should buy.
These new sets are all from Lego's own Jurassic World spin off. None of them are actually from the film franchise. As a fan of Jurassic Park, dinosaurs, robots, and robot dinosaurs.... This set is Awesome! The best thing about is is the color scheme from the original Jurassic Park Explorers. I love everything about it and hope Lego makes more sets like this that are inspired by the original movies, not just the heartless reboots.
This set just feels overpriced for what you're really wanting to get from the set – a T-Rex and the Dino-mech. I felt like they could've easily stripped the raft, and volcano to bring the price down to a much more accessible level.
LEGO has certainly produced an interesting selection of mechs and the Dino-Mech is an outstanding model. Its lime green and dark red colour scheme is brilliant and I love the metallic silver highlights as well. Furthermore, the vehicle is highly articulated so looks great on display. The yellow raft is similarly attractive and I love the infant Velociraptors.
It may not seem an overly exciting set, but the build experience is fun and there's some great use of parts in all three buildable aspects of the set, particularly the Dino-mech. I love that the iconic colour scheme of the JP Ford 4x4s has been used for the Dino-mech, but it does make me yearn for an official set of that vehicle.
Overall this set is fun to build and play with. There are a few elements that aren't as sturdy as we had hoped, but in general, it's not bad. The new prints are always exciting, and the few pieces that are new as recolors are enticing as well.
