My 8 year old son received this for his birthday. He loved it! It's nice that it has wonder woman invisible aircraft along with the Bat Bot because of this he came up with more story lines and scenarios. Great Price from Lego considering everything that comes with it. It's been 3 months and he still has Bat Bot intact which for an eight year old is pretty impressive. Most of our lego figures are goners with in one week and have been scattered to the winds!

The Bat-Mech is far and away my favourite thing about this set. It was a lot larger than the box art illustration made me believe, measuring almost 20cm high. Like all mechs, you can pose him in a variety of positions, giving it a very high level of playability. Wonder Woman's jet feels kind of incomplete, but at the very least, you can salvage it for a bunch of useful transparent parts.

The Lego set Gorilla Grodd goes bananas has great rings to it such as the little add on of the banana truck and driver is great as well. Also, the prints on the mini figures are amazing and new versions of the Wonder Woman and Batman are better than the older versions of themselves for the most part. But as always there are some things that i am not pleased with the most. The first thing that I am not too pleased with is the bat-mech. I think that it against grodd in a fight while having a brawl between captain cold and wonder woman and the invisible ship is just to uneven. I will say that if you already own the lex luthor bot that it is a even match for the mech but not grodd. The lego group that made this could've done a little more with the right arm of it too.The bat mech was something i wasn't the happiest with in the bat vehicles we have seen in the past but it wasn't the worst. I would say it is a 7/10 with out the lex bot. The next thing is the invisible jet. I love the jet way more than the bat-mech, even though it is small, it fits easily and where as others would've liked to see as big as the javelin, I disagree. I'm not the biggest fan of wonder woman but this was purely great. The bricks were clear and before seeing the pictures for it i was really wondering whether it would be so invisiblely or not and it is. I will say it is a very very easy build . I would rate this 10/10 but would've liked too seen it seperate from this set and maybe as another little set with something else. But still 10/10 Next up is the figures... I really like the new batman and wonder woman designs. The flash doesn't have a new design but that is ok because there really is much to do to improve the figure itself. Then there is the banana man, he is so different that he's cool to have and i like him a lot. Now to the villains, gorilla grodd is an amazing big fig. Out of all of these figures however i think that captain cold is just flat out fantastic and he is the coolest looking villain to me i love the blue color he has. There are somethings that would've been better for the price you pay. You pay $50 for this and i think that the price is too high for what you get. i would've liked to have seen a get away vehicle for captain cold and a freeze stand that you got in . I would've liked to have seen that or another villain such as captain boomerang or professor zoom aka the reverse flash because $50 is too much. The overall rate for this set including what it has is a 7/10. The flash's helping heroes and villains that he faces could open up a whole new path for lego that i believe it can succeed if they just hurry up and do it in a flash!

The set is a weaker set, and the cost likely higher (though all bigfig sets seem to carry a high price premium), because it's all about Batman. The little cart is absolutely awesome, the minifigure selection (outside of Batman) is wonderful, and the Invisible Jet is great… but the price and the instability of the Bat-Mech are hard to ignore. Having some great parts and stickers are cool and all, but almost half of the parts seemingly go into that mech and it's easily the least interesting part of the set.

The Bat-Mech actually poses fairly well, and I quite like the left hand. The right hand has been replaced with a deadly combination weapon: dual shooters and a push out net. The shooters are the style introduced last year but they're in a new form here - a modified 1x2 plate with shooter (6102734 15403). The Legion of Doom are terrified of the Bat-net. It could flop out at any moment, and the baddies would be all like "oh no, I'm trapped". Most exciting!

Overall, we think this set is great for the cast of minifigures but poor on the vehicles. The Banana Cart is fun and the Invisible Jet works for its size, although we wish it could have been bigger. The bulk of the set is the Bat Mech, but it feels pretty lackluster. There are a few nice pieces, but at $49.99 it's a little too pricy for what you get. If you do want to grab some of the figs or pieces here, we would recommend waiting for a sale.
