This is awesome, high quality, and definitely recommend
These Batman LEGO sets have some great detail and include new figures, not before seen in other sets. LEGO fans will enjoy building them, Batman fans will want to collect them, and everyone will have a super-heroic time playing with them.
The set is a pretty cool set with a bat bike that I will admit could have used a little more play features but it is not bad for the $20 price tag. But what really brings it home is the Minifigures: you get the talons (which I thought Lego would never make due to there dark tone the comics, good on you Lego), thrasher Batman, and four words: ACE THE BAT HOUND. Plus with the gold accessory pack makes this set a pretty good set and shows that Lego is willing to give out more value for your dollar sets.
I'm not a big fan of it. The minifigure selection is alright (though I'm disappointed in the Batman figure), but the build is where this set fails. It's not a terrible build in and of itself and I appreciate the effort that you can tell went into it, but it's just a boring tricycle and it's really sad to see the missed opportunity to do a build based on the Court of Owls/Night of the Owls storyline.
This set has definitely surpassed my expectations. I am delighted to see the Court of Owls making their first appearance in the DC Super Heroes theme and Batman's Thrasher Suit looks brilliant, particularly when the bulky chest armour has been removed to reveal the detailed printing underneath. Ace the Bat-Hound completes the selection of figures and should prove very popular, although I am not sure that he feels at home in this set.
Attack of the Talons is an okay set. I really wish the LEGO® Group would stop pumping out vehicles, and start giving us a little more variety. I love the Super Heroes Minifigures, and the only way to get them is through the transport-centered builds. Kids might like playing with this, and the motor-tricycle is nicely designed. At full price, Attack of the Talons is also not a very good value. If, like me, you want the characters, I suggest waiting for a sale.
