My son enjoyed building the helicopter and the police car. Those two builds went very quickly and my son had fun building those. However, the building of the Batwing was quite frustrating. It was not difficult to build the Batwing, the issue was the pieces would not stay together and the Batwing would constantly fall apart and collapse. This should have been a quick and easy build but the Batwing construction just seems very shaky. Eventually my son decided to not attach the bottom of the Batwing because he could not get it to stay together.
This set, as with most of the new Batman sets, is a remake of a older set. In this case set 7782. Although the vehicle is that of the 1989 film, it still connects into the new Batcave as the previous set did. The police car and helicopter are a bit basic and could have been better. The Batwing itself is a nice build but Lego went wrong with the colours. It should have been all black but the underside is mainly light grey which spoils the look a bit in my opinion. Price is a bit higher than what I think the set is worth, probably £39.99 would have been a more realistic price for the set. I would recommend this set but I would also suggest reading through the instructions online and purchasing black pieces to replace the grey ones ahead of time. I am doing so now and will replace the light grey pieces to make the Batwing look more like the 1989 film in term of colours.
