I bought this as a gift for a younger cousin but as an AFOL (adult fan of LEGO), I contemplated keeping it for myself. There are a lot of details in this model and a lot of unique pieces such as the drill and the dome caps. The minifigures, especially the the unique sea creature was a big hit. The sub is also detailed with a storage compartment for treasure and a mini-sub. I purchased this on sale from Amazon.com but probably would have not purchased it at retail price.
