My son wanted this even after I told him about all the negative reviews. The price was not bad on Amazon, which I think is lower than its original retail price. The case is well built and nice looking. Since we knew in advance that it would not fit the pieces of all 4 original games, we weren't disappointed about that. What we do is use it to take a subset of the games with us on outings. The playing board works well, and we did not have the problem of the pieces not laying flat that others described. It was a nice surprise to discover the features on the map, such as waterfalls, rivers and forests, line up perfectly with the corresponding game elements in the standard configuration. We think it's fun and useful, but benefited from lowered expectations.
