Quite an expensive set, even with the discount. One of the 4 rings I got had a scuffed surface but luckily that's not the only one in the set. For those wondering, the rings are all the same size: 5.5 US. They look much bigger in the pictures. They are a tad smaller than one would think (not a bad thing, just consider this if you're buying). The open shank has a relatively comfortable fit and allows a bit of growth. This was a very very smart decision, as hands are all different sizes and especially as one grows. Imagine the legal nightmares when kids wake up with purple swollen fingers. You get 4 rings, 2 purple and 2 turquoise blue. It would have been nice to get a pink ring and even a yellow gold. Seems like a wasted opportunity. Lego should have consulted with actual jewellers to create better centre stones and to mimic the effect of invisible setting or even pavé. Not that little girls would notice. The important thing is they tried. Maybe Lego can introduce a slimmer design that looks better on female hands because that it the target market here. A thick ring like this with a flat top is a man's ring. Really, Lego needed to consult an experienced jewellery designer with 20+ years of seeing which designs work and which don't. I wasn't really a fan of the shiny paper you get. You get 2 of every piece to create matching rings. They are nice little colourful pieces, but they are single stud pieces which are not that useful for building. So factor that into the price per piece. You won't get any useful buildings pieces, just nice colourful accent bricks. I bought this set out of a professional curiosity. This set is definitely better than the bracelet set which I will stay from. The plastic box was extremely easy to "break into", so I would just recommend that Lego changes that slippery texture for in-store models because the sticker doesn't hold well. I was able to open the box without any special tools and close it up perfectly again. Press onto the box inwards where the sticker holds it and it easily comes apart.
