The minifigures in this set are phenomenal. The short-legs Oni is the least interesting minifig out of the bunch. He has the basic set of prints and a cool ax weapon but there's nothing too special about him. The other basic Oni warrior is a cool minifigure. However, he has the exact same prints as the smaller Oni warrior. Both of them are nice but they aren't the reason I bought this set. The Omega minifigure is awesome. In fact, I would say he's easily the best Ninjago minifigure in years. He has an awesome re-print of the Oni Mask piece and he has huge horns which can be rotated and positioned in different ways. Despite having the same prints as the other two, I don't really mind on this figure because he has a lot of contrast with the other two due to his head and staff.

853866 Oni Villains Battle Pack is currently the only available set based upon season ten of NINJAGO: Masters of Spinjitzu so it seems likely to prove popular. I like the Oni Demons but their design does not match the impressive standard of other recent villains such as the Dragon Hunters in my opinion. Even so, they do appear rather intimidating and stand out within the pantheon of adversaries for the ninja.
