The first thing I wondered when I heard of this program, was "Will it hold up to LEGO's standards?". That, it does. The packaging is done good (dare I say better than LEGO?), the instructions are clear, and the end result of the build is looking amazing. This could easily be an offical LEGO set.
The first couple of AFOL Designer Sets from BrickLink have arrived to the people who pre-ordered them, so I thought it's time to make a review of my design, The LEGO® Story.
This is an excellent concept that's been exceptionally well executed. Each vignette is an attractive stand-alone model packed with details and interesting building techniques to ensure that what could be rather boring -- walls and windows -- is anything but. There's not much -- OK, any -- playability, but that is not the point of it. It's a model that I think every adult LEGO fan with an interest in the company would appreciate.
