Wow. This book is amazing, truly a piece of art. After completing the three bird Lego set, I was looking for a little more. Directions for each bird are given and there is a part list. That being said, the parts are quite specific and the average person isn't going to have them. Luckily the Lego website allows you to build a custom 'bag' of parts and I plan to try this out for a bird and see how it goes.

I would have liked a bit more discussion of the techniques that the author utilized in his models, but the instructions alone are a treasure trove of interesting techniques. This book is a perfect companion to the Birds set and a fine addition to any builder's library.

I can recommend this book not only if you are into birds but also if you like Creator style builds and are looking for more realism in the finished model. I plan to build a few more birds in the future.
