Recommendation: yes 95 / 100 by Tom

In the end, the Fiat 500 is a fun build and great display piece. The set comes at a good value and provides ample build time for the price. It is not the typical type of set that I go for, but I like it a lot regardless. This is a solid, entertaining build and it is worth picking up.

The colours are amazing and the build quality is brilliant too. Drops very well too so should be kid friendly as i dropped it on tile floor only the boot fell off. Over all i recommend it to anyone who is a fiat or lego fan. w wish they did more like this.

Recommendation: yes 8 / 10 by The LEGO Car Blog Team

I think the Fiat 500 was a great choice for the Creator Expert line, it is truly an iconic car and the LEGO version is instantly recognizable. The added extras are also really nice, enhancing a great building experience for a reasonable price. My only complaint is the lack of steering – after the excellent 10265 Ford Mustang I was really hoping to see a functional steering wheel in the next Creator Expert car as well.

If you're a longtime collector of Creator Expert cars, or are new to the game, I highly recommend the LEGO Fiat 500. It ticks all the right boxes, from price, design, historic relevance and makes for a cracker of a display model.

LEGO fans and petrol heads alike will find plenty to love about 10271 Fiat 500. This is a LEGO model that captures its source material faithfully, literally and, most importantly, in that ‘dolce vita' spirit.

Overall, the LEGO Creator Fiat 500 (10271) is a decent vehicle with details that fans of it will enjoy. The main thing I like is the color of it. LEGO calls it Cool Yellow which is more of a muted yellow so it doesn't come off too bright. It was mentioned that it isn't a color LEGO uses very often. There are a few parts in this color that are exclusive to this set.

If you're first reaction to this set was "I don't like the way it looks" then I don't think the build experience will persuade you otherwise, but for those on the fence I highly recommend this set. It's fun, challenging, and has playbility for kids for those less precious about their LEGO models.

New Elementary

I don't think I've ever known a set to introduce such an overwhelming number of recolours. Better still, many of them are especially useful elements that come in respectable quantities too. There were only about 200 elements available in Cool Yellow before this set arrived, many of which are DUPLO, Scala or minifigure/minidoll parts. It goes without saying then, that the set is equally appealing as a parts pack as it is a display item.

I think there really is something for everyone with this set: MOC builders like myself will no doubt find that the vast array of Cool Yellow elements opens new doors for custom creations. Those who enjoy a therapeutic build session can expect plenty of novel techniques and satisfying subassemblies. And finally, those interested in the completed vehicle itself will find plenty of intricate details on the car - both internal and external. Truly a set that has potential to please all LEGO enthusiasts. Well, so long as they like Cool Yellow!

10271 Fiat 500 has exceeded my expectations. Accurately recreating cars which are dominated by curves is exceptionally challenging but this model includes excellent detail and compares favourably with its source material. The rear appears particularly realistic and I like the tapering bodywork above each wheel. Furthermore, the fabric sun roof looks magnificent in relation to the original vehicle.

Recommendation: yes by Lino

I am truly enamored with this set. If you can overlook the blight, the clever detailing, the functionality, and the retro-cool feel of the 1965 Fiat 500 are all top-notch. The comfortable price point and the inclusion of rare light yellow makes this a must-buy for any LEGO fan or car enthusiast. Nixing this would eliminate the chance to experience such a neat set and acquire a myraid of interesting and reusable pieces in cool yellow.
