I love the Jr Lego sets. They are NOT bigger blocks but the instructions can be read and followed by my 5 year old. How great is that! And then the items he builds can be played with like regular toys. They are not just display items for a shelf.
I would recommend this set to anyone who seriously collects superhero sets, who wants some figures to play with, rather than keeping for long term display, as well as kids looking to break into superheroes. I liked it for the nostalgic aesthetic the mminifigs bring, reminding me of the Saturday morning cartoons of the 1970's.
No more Batman versus Superman. This construction set is all about teamwork among the two superheroes. Kids who are Batman and Superman fans will like building this action-packed set and then playing out all sorts of imaginative adventures. The set has a lot of nice details and moving parts to really bring the action to life. And because this is a LEGO Juniors set, which is for kids between the ages of 4 and 7, it offers an age-appropriate building experience thanks to its bigger pieces and easy-to-follow instructions.
My son (12) has cerebral palsy but wants to build lego like everyone else. Lego is great for his fine motor skills development but it can be hard. The lego juniors allows him to do some work but have a nice finished product he can play with. He finds it really rewarding and plays with it over and over again. It also encourages him to do more building with the regular lego.
