I got this for my 3 1/2 yr old who loves Lego and Cinderella (I do not recommend purchasing this item for a child outside of the 4-7 age range to use without supervision due to choking hazard). My 6 yr old put it together for her with no problem. The 3 yr old loves to play with the set, especially since it has a horse. My only complaint is that the Cinderella mini figure's hair WILL NOT stay on and after putting it back on four hundred times over the past month, it has finally become lost with the other tiny Lego pieces that are most likely hanging out in my couch cushions or down in the air ducts. Not a big loss in my view, but the 3 yr old is not happy.

The LEGO Junior set has blocks that are not as big as LEGO Duplo, but not as small as the more advanced sets. Elementary age kids will find this set easy and fun to build. This set encourages roleplay and storytelling, and develops fine motor skills, focus, and problem solving skills.

I agree with the first reviewer. The first Junior set I bought for our granddaughter (10677) had a female mini-figure, rather than a mini-doll. She loves the mini-fig, because she can switch out the hair and the body parts. The Lego rep's response that the mini-dolls are just in the Friends, Disney, and Heroes junior builds doesn't really help, because those are the ONLY junior sets that contain female characters. The mini-dolls are cute, but PLEASE make some Junior sets with female mini-FIGURES.
