We actually have some little puzzles that are sort of similar to this, and great for little ones who are first trying to figure out how things go together, and to notice all of the details in the picture. Each of these animals breaks apart into three sections, and the necks and the bottoms all line up so that you can not only put together the animals correctly, but do some fun mix-and-match and make some silly animals. My three-year-old found this part especially fun and collapsed into giggles making goofy dinosaurs with bird heads. These are also great because my kids really love building complicated and very large structures and vehicles with their bricks, and these provide some great bulk, as well as being exciting and decorated, so the play on these goes well beyond the age range indicated by "my first" fun puzzle. The printing is of good quality and everything is holding up well and being used a lot here in my house.
