This is one of three 3-in-1 sets I currently own, and it is by far the most impressive in terms of rebuild-ability and unique detail. All three variations are enjoyable to construct and to interact with, and can easily be custom-tailored to personalize the appearance. The primary build is the most ingenious, with a collapsing/raising bridge between two sliding sections of a large treehouse. This build features a cool hidden compartment in the base of the treehouse, a creative little wheelbarrow, adjustable tree branch/foliage and a sharp-looking bluejay build. The finer details at the base of the treehouse, such as the flowers and certain touches in the water sections help round out what is one of the more creative and impressive-looking builds I've seen in some time. The alternate builds also contain their own unique charms, such as a can-to-can 'phone' and a retractable ladder. One of the coolest aspects of this set is something I've never seen in a Lego set before: children minifigs. I do believe they've been around for awhile but I've never come in contact with them. While it is somewhat disappointing that their shorter legs do not move, the smaller stature makes them ideal for the set and for mixing into a host of others. Awesome indeed! Worth every penny and a joy to assemble in any of its variations, this is one of my favorite sets and I would recommend it to any Lego fan young or old.
Legos are always a great present for my nephew. He opened this Christmas morning and let us know he's been wanting this one. My sister has been encouraging him to build things that aren't weapons or fighting related, so this was perfect. The three different tree houses are awesome and the pieces are unique to help with future creations.
A great set, living up to the high standards of the Creator line. A great play set, and tons of fun little techniques for AFOLs. I'm looking forward to drafting this set and getting my hands on more of the great elements in it!
I quite liked the primary build, especially the mechanism that allows the ladder to become the bridge (and vice versa) simply by opening and closing the treehouse. The hinged feature of the build is used so that the treehouse looks just as attractive open as it does closed (though it looks a little cramped when it is closed).
