I bought it as Christmas present for my 4 years old daughter. She's so excited to build this London Bus by herself but just needed a little assist from mamie. I rather my child play lego bricks rather than playing Roblox or any video games all the times. Lego build can train their patience and concentration. But not really affordable to buy Lego so frequently, LOL.
It does fit in well with the Big Ben set although I'm not sure why LEGO decided not to run this promotion when the set was officially released last month. There is some controversy in the LEGO community of why the London Bus was released first in the US and Canada and not in the UK. From what I'm reading, they might be holding it off until the new LEGO flagship store opening in Leicester Square later this year.
I love the new bus: both for the (simple) build, as well as the look. It is robust, inspires a healthy dose of nostalgia in me and I am glad to have obtained one. The additional sticker sheet adds a great option, free of spelling errors.
My daughter received this from Santa for Christmas because she asked him for the "Lego London Bus" as her MAIN gift. But when Santa went to leave it under the tree late that night, he discovered that the box is no bigger than a large crayon box. It was too late to do anything about it on Christmas Eve, and my daughter was very disappointed. I wish the description was more clear. This is a tiny version of the real, full-sized London Bus, which I realize now is over $100. They should label this as "mini".
This is a very nice set for a giveaway. I particularly like how the stickers reference other sets, in this case 10253 Big Ben and 10232 Palace Cinema. It's too bad that the scale doesn't fit with the modulars, but that would require many more pieces and be too big for a giveaway. The scale is sort of an in between size; too big to display next to the Tower Bridge or Big Ben and too small for the modulars. However, it's a great little set and will be going on display in my office.
